Josh Wander and 777 Partners have declined to comment on mounting legal issues following face-to-face talks with the Premier League this week on the Everton takeover, according to The Times.
The company’s co-founder has now met with the league officials during the week over the long-delayed topic, amid various legal obstacles, according to a March 8 article by Martin Ziegler for the paper’s website.
In addition to the US company’s ongoing legal battle with Obra Capital for debt payments, model Nina Agdal, YouTuber Logan Paul’s partner, has subpoenaed Wander in her legal battle against mixed martial arts competitor Dillon Danis.
The potential Everton owner is not being sued, but he will be called to testify because court documents purport that Agdal “maintains” Wander took and shared an explicit photo of her without her permission. Dannis is then accused of posting the photo online in the lead-up to his boxing match against Paul this year.
According to reports, Wander replied to a Florida district court by saying that he “flatly denies this baseless allegation” and that it is “gravely untrue.”

The fact that talks have finally been held in person between Wander and representatives of the Premier League, having been left in the dark of the meeting, should be a positive step towards the Toffees finally getting some clarity on their ownership question.

After being kept in the dark about the meeting, the fact that negotiations between Wander and Premier League representatives have now taken place face-to-face is a significant step toward the Toffees’ eventual acquisition of some clarity.
Everton supporters may be perplexed as to how they ended up in this situation, but a lengthy string of errors made by the club’s management ultimately brought them here.
In the event that the current bid is rejected, some may find it alluring to hold out hope that one of the other buyers will have the chance to negotiate a better bargain because there is so much unwelcome noise around the 777 bid.
However, given that negotiations with MSD Sports Capital broke down and Wander and company went on to sign a deal with Farhad Moshiri in September, one could wonder where they were all at the time.
