AC Milan are scheduled to face Empoli on Sunday afternoon and given the right schedule, Stefano Pioli is expected to make some changes to the starting XI. However, he has learned from the mistake made against Monza.
After defeating Lazio last weekend, Milan recovered and will look to put pressure on Juventus once more as they are now only one point behind. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, a few changes to the starting lineup are anticipated, including Noah Okafor taking Rafael Leao’s place due to suspension.
Pioli seemed content to stick Christian Pulisic on the right wing for balance, unlike in the match against Monza when he switched around all of the forwards. Although Samuel Chukwueze is keen to demonstrate his abilities, Milan is not in a position to take chances, and he has not made an impression.
In the event that Pioli decides to switch up all of the forwards, the aftermath of the game would be cruel for him. Thus, it is unlikely that this will occur, and Pulisic is also giddy following his tap-in goal against Slavia Praha.
That being said, Chukwueze will probably come off the bench as Milan needs to start reaping the benefits of their investment.
