Jordan Pickford hails Celtic star as Everton No1 unsurprised by fan adulation

As Joe Hart’s final few months as a Celtic goalkeeper draw near, Jordan Pickford has paid tribute to the man. Hart, who will turn 37 in one month, recently declared that he will quit his incredible 20-year career at the end of the current season. It will be the two-time Premier League champion hanging up the cleats this summer following three stellar seasons at Parkhead. Since joining the Scottish champions from Tottenham in 2021, Hart has assisted the Hoops in winning five major titles, including a triple crown the previous season.

The former England No. 1 has gained 75 caps for his nation, and Pickford, a former Three Lions teammate, is hoping his idol can finish the season with a few more winners’ trophies.

“He was someone I looked up to massively,” he said on talkSPORT. His journey from Shrewsbury to Birmingham to Man City did not go unnoticed; he went on to become England’s top player, earned 75 caps, and spent ten to twelve years playing for Man City.
