Rangers news: Zak Lovelace injury blow emerges in Belgium

The 18-year-old was forced to leave the B Team after just 18 minutes of play in a friendly against Royal Antwerp in Belgium. The extent of the injuries was not yet known, so he had to receive treatment.

Lovelace was desperate to return to the Rangers senior side

Lovelace has experienced a lot of bad luck during his time at the club. He made an impression in a game against St Mirren, but he was out for about six months due to a nasty hamstring injury. Even though he had previously played for the first team, tragedy struck again just as he was about to make his comeback in a B-team match, impeding his progress.

Lovelace got injured and had to leave the game after just eighteen minutes, despite his desire to get back into shape and health. This is especially heartbreaking because he has limited time to show himself to Philippe Clement before his contract expires in the summer.

Lovelace had a great chance to establish himself with so many important players already out, but luck hasn’t been in his favor. Fans of the Rangers will be hoping that his injury is not too serious so he can recover and play to his full ability in the future. In other Rangers news, following the recent events in the transfer market, the Celtics and Gers have suggested a significant roster overhaul.
