Jim White has reacted to news that Everton could be facing yet another PSR charge for the 2023/24 season on Wednesday morning.

The Toffees have already been punished twice for breaching PSR regulations by the Premier League, getting a ten-point deduction which was reduced to six for the first accusation while a hearing is yet to take place for the second charge.

But according to Twitter account @SLBSN the Toffees are one of the teams at risk for failing for the current season, which caused to talkSPORT host White to comment.

“Interesting times ahead…” he commented on his personal Twitter account (6 March).

Is there ever going to be a year where Everton aren’t expecting to fail PSR considering the circumstances they’re in?

The club’s financial predicament is a significant issue and while the Premier League continue to sit on their hands about reaching a decision on whether or not 777 Partners will be able to take over, plans can’t be made.

It leaves the club in a difficult predicament when it comes to the summer window that is approaching, since they have no idea if they’re going to need to sell key first-team players or if the organization is going to expand financially.

The initial charge that got received was a fatal blow for the club as it put the team right in the heart of a relegation battle that they never deserved to be in, but form since then has truly dropped.

A second charge and another points deduction may severely affect the club and if the Toffees wind up getting relegated, then there will be big concerns about the future of the club.
