Mikey Johnston‘s spectacular goal for West Brom at Loftus Road served as yet another reminder to Celtic of his exceptional talent.
Johnston, who is now on a season-long loan from Celtic to West Brom, started for the Baggies on Wednesday night in the Championship game against QPR.
In the seventeenth minute, struggling QPR took the lead against Carlos Corberan’s team, but Johnston was determined to pull them even.
After grabbing the ball on the touchline, the Celtic player cut inside and scored an incredible goal from outside the box.
The goalie for QPR had no chance as it went into the back of the net after catching the near post.
Then, in the 27th minute, West Brom took the lead, leading 2-1.
Johnston’s goal against QPR is his fourth league goal since joining West Brom. He has adapted to the challenges of the Championship like a duck to water.
The Baggies will be counting on Johnston to stay hot and lead them to the postseason and, eventually, promotion.
Additionally, Johnston’s performances in England are increasing his value to Celtic.
