‘Very difficult for him’ – Bad news for Rangers man after latest appearance, move simply not working out at all

‘Very difficult for him’ – Bad news for Rangers man after latest appearance, move simply not working out at all.

We have been following news over the last several weeks that show Rangers forward Ianis Hagi is struggling at Alavés, where he was placed before Philippe Clement took over at Ibrox.

The midfield player hasn’t played much at his new club since the beginning of 2024; he was a regular player when he first moved to Spain.

Now that Alavés and Osasuna have drawn 1-1, Noticias de Alava has released the player ratings, and the Rangers player didn’t fare well.

Hagi was substituted late in the match, and according to the publication, he had little chance of influencing the outcome.

He was hardly able to demonstrate his abilities as he came in to replace Rioja in the latter moments of the match. It will be extremely tough for him to carve out a place for himself in the second half of the season, they write, given what we have witnessed.

The midfielder has made 21 appearances since joining Alavés from Rangers, with two goals and one assist. However, he has only played in three La Liga games this season, entering the game late in each one.

He might not make the squad that plays in the Euros this summer, according to recent claims from Romania, unless something changes.

All of that is terrible news for the Rangers, who will get him back at the conclusion of the season. Depending on what Clement wants to do with him, they will likely need to find a different solution for him.
