Philippe Clement gives a hint about Rangers’ return; the 22-year-old forward might be the difference in the title.

Abdallah Sima has been a Rangers player who has been missed more than any other in the past few months.

The Senegal international missed out on helping his chosen club team propel a comeback to the top of the standings under new manager Philippe Clement at Gers after having dreams of winning the African Cup of Nations.

Despite only being at Ibrox temporarily, the Rangers boss has disclosed that Abdullah Sima has committed to the team and when we could expect to see him play again.

When will Abdallah Sima be back on the Rangers pitch?

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out what we could have done with the 22-year-old on the roster over the weekend, considering that he has 15 goals in 32 games—all from open play.

Not so much that he can carry the ball as well as someone like Oscar Cortes, whose own injury is a setback, as it is that he has a remarkable ability to find himself in excellent scoring positions.

You have the match winner sitting in the stands if you combine it with a low-quality chance-making talent to find the back of the net.

At an SEC event, Clement provided an illustration of the team’s current cohesion alongside former Rangers player Grahame Souness and current captain Jack Butland:

“Abdallah Sima visited my office this morning. He requested, “Gaffer, can I come with the team to Lisbon? I’m working on my rehab and will be out for a few weeks.”

Sima is expected to resume more realistic and sport-specific training on the grass this week, which is a good step in his recovery. However, with four more weeks of hard preparation, the Old Firm derby on April 7th could still be possible.

With so many of our main attackers absent against Motherwell, we witnessed how ineffective our assault was, and Clement will be looking to replace as many of them as possible.

Everyone will benefit from Abdallah Sima’s return to the Rangers lineup at this point in the season. Perhaps he should stay in Glasgow instead of attempting to smuggle in a free vacation to Portugal!
