Liel Abada Completes Medical Ahead of Celtic Exit

Liel Abada is on the cusp of sealing a move to Charlotte FC from Celtic, with his medical now completed.

It is anticipated that this transfer will be completed in the next 24 hours, with Abada becoming a young Designated Player for Major League Soccer.

The 22-year-old is expected to bring in £10 million for Celtic.

Despite continuing to practice with the team, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers stated that Abada wasn’t in the right frame of mind to play for the club following his final appearance in a matchday squad on February 7th, the side’s away game against Hibs.

The head coach of Charlotte FC and former manager of Aston Villa, Dean Smith, would surely consider Abada to be an important addition to his team.

The departure of Abada is hardly shocking to anyone. Due to pressure from his home country rather than Celtic supporters, he has brought in a respectable amount of money for the team for a player who had no desire in playing for Celtic.
