‘Interesting’… Garth Crooks thinks Nottingham Forest did something so strange after Liverpool defeat (edited)

Garth Crooks has thrown his opinion into the mix after Nottingham Forest were robbed of a point by referee Paul Tierney on Saturday.

Darwin Nunez scored the game’s only goal in stoppage time for the Reds against Liverpool, 1-0, thanks to a referee error in the ninth minute.

Numerous commentators have weighed in on the dispute; in the aftermath, Micah Richards criticised Forest and its association with Mark Clattenburg.

After having his say, Crooks has naturally launched yet another petty attack on Forest.

What Garth Crooks said about Nottingham Forest on Saturday

This isn’t unexpected, considering Crooks was the one who said that Ivan Toney was “clever” for moving the ball to cheat on a goal against Forest in January.

Now that he’s taken another stab at Forest, the BBC analyst truly doesn’t seem to like the Reds, for whatever reason.

Before criticizing the work of the match officials, Crooks feels Forest should first sort out their own problems.”The fact that Forest was unable to put the ball into the back of the Liverpool net after creating so many chances should be of far greater concern to manager Nuno Espirito Santo and the club’s owner Evangelos Marinakis,” he told BBC Sport. “Furthermore, Forest are claiming that the controversy surrounding the referee cost them the game.”

Regarding the dispute involving referee Paul Tierney and the appropriate location for the game to resume. The referee erred, but Forest had to defend their goal once the ball was back in play, regardless of the official’s ruling.

“They failed to remove the threat despite multiple chances.

“Mark Clattenburg, a former official who is currently a Nottingham Forest analyst, made an intriguing request to see the referee following the game. What was he going to compare mistakes made in his career?

Forest must be hoping another team gets done in similar circumstances

If one of the major six in the Premier League were to suffer the same fate, it would be interesting to see how the commentators on the game would respond.

Something tells us that the focus will suddenly shift to how bad the officiating is and that the club’s complaints won’t get any attention.

Simply put, Forest is fed up with the weekly rough treatments they get from match officials.

The Reds have been denied multiple penalties since the year’s beginning and have been the subject of several startling calls.

As it stands, it’s difficult enough to stay in the Premier League, and in the end, Forest feels cheated.
