Blimey’: Chris Sutton shares who has the title advantage after shock Celtic and Rangers results

Chris Sutton shares who has the title advantage after shock Celtic and Rangers results.

After Celtic and Rangers both suffered losses over the weekend, Chris Sutton has revealed who he believes has the advantage in the title fight.

The title battle is still wide open after Brendan Rodgers’ team lost 2-0 at Tynecastle and the Ibrox club lost 2-1 at home to Motherwell. Neither team was able to capitalize on any significant errors this weekend.

Who is in the lead now? Rangers, who are still leading by two points, or Celtic, whose confidence may have been damaged by the Ibrox loss?

When this same issue was posed to Chris Sutton, the former Celtic hero stayed neutral but didn’t reveal too much.

Which team, Celtic or Rangers, had the worst weekend? Sutton asked [The Monday Night Club]. (laughing) It was shocking when Rangers lost to Motherwell.

Nobody anticipated that. Given their recent success and Clement’s skill, you can only image how giddy Rangers supporters will be on Saturday night.

And Celtic mucking it up isn’t shocking at all. It is not at all. Because Rangers supporters are thinking, “Blimey, we should have been five points ahead of Celtic,” I believe that both sets of fans over the weekend would have felt sick.

“And Celtic supporters might have thought, ‘Well, there’s still the same gap.'” Thus, I believe that both sides have that mentality.

“However, it will go to the wire.”

I still think we’ll win the league, says the die-hard Celtics supporter in me. In addition, I think we will win the two Glasgow Derby games that are still left as, in the end, Rangers hasn’t defeated us in a close game in more than two seasons.

Brendan Rodgers has already beaten the Ibrox team twice this season, and he has demonstrated both this and his previous spell that he is the better team when it comes to games against Rangers.
