Simon Stone: Everton takeover has gone extremely silent.

The total takeover of Everton is hardly developing and the Premier League are still to come to a conclusion.

According to BBC Sport writer, Simon Stone, Josh Wander was present in the FT Business of Football summit on Thursday, but he wasn’t eager in talking about the topic It was been stated previously that the 777 Partners are growing “frustrated” at the moment with the delay from the Premier League, although they anticipate to receive some news from them this month.

There are claims that the Premier League couldn’t proceed prior because they were dealing with Everton’s appeal over point deduction, but since that is handled, they can now look forward to other matters related with the Toffees.

The potential new owners negotiated a new arrangement with Farhad Moshiri back in September and they should have received the confirmation by now. In contrast, Sir Jim Ratcliffe confirmed negotiating a deal with Manchester United on 24 December, and he has gained his consent already.“I have to admit, it has all gone very quiet. Josh Wander was at the FT Business of Football summit on Thursday and I did try to grab a word with him but he wasn’t too eager in talking,” wrote Stone on BBC Sport.

“Like everyone else, he is waiting for the Premier League to reach a decision. It has nearly been forgotten that it was September when the deal with Farhad Moshiri was struck.”

Frustration escalates on and off the pitch

Everton will shortly face the second of hearing for breaching the PSR rule, but they now have clarity regarding the manner.

The frustration rises among the fans, both on and off the pitch. The Toffees are yet to win a single game in the Premier League in 2024, and they are dropping points at home.

They lost 3-1 against West Ham last week. The performance needs to improve and most importantly the results need to improve.

Sean Dyche has done tremendously well to get the best out of his players, but it seems he is running out of ideas at the moment.

The potential new owners will be hoping to get a positive reaction from the Premier League this month, while fans will hope that Dyche will turn the situation around.
