Richard Keys annoyed by Everton and Nottingham Forest development in Premier League.
The beIN SPORTS presenter made a point of telling viewers the pair could possibly be punished points before the Premier League season finishes.
A decision is scheduled to be announced later this month, but any appeal may potentially drag on until a week after the campaign closes.
As the Premier League table showed up on TV, Keys let out a sigh and stated [3 March, 6:10pm]: “Every time I see the bottom of the table, I’ve still got to explain that Everton and Nottingham Forest are facing charges of financial irregularities.”
Everton and Nottingham Forest charged with PSR breaches
The Toffees have already had 10 points taken away from them this season, four of which have since been returned, so supporters are used to the uncertainty by now.
The major difficulty is that this dispute is inevitably going to stretch on until after the season, therefore the ultimate Premier League standings will not be established in stone until later in May.
That is presuming Everton and/or Forest be hit with a points penalty, which is what the popular consensus seems to be at this point.
Keys, as much as it seems to annoy him, will have to keep reminding fans at home that the Premier League standings does not tell the complete story right now.
All Everton can do is start getting some wins on the board to ensure any future points deduction is less of a worry than it is shaping up to be right now.
