“Tough call for Moyes” | Everton vs. West Ham

In an attempt to build on a far better performance on Monday night, West Ham travels to Goodison Park to take on relegation-threatened Everton today.

After a very bad run of play after the turn of the year, our Hammers turned in a considerably more impressive performance against Brentford in the 4-2 victory at the London Stadium to spark the season.

It felt like a bit of a lifeline to get our hopes for Europe back on track, but to maintain that optimism, we must perform well away at Everton, who also need a win after a losing streak. Relegation is still a real possibility, even with four points back after a successful appeal against a deduction for an FFP violation.

Today, David Moyes has the luxury of fielding an almost totally fit team, with the exception of Max Cornet, who is sidelined due to injury. Kalvin Phillips, on the other hand, is back available following his suspension.

The manager of the Irons must make a significant choice regarding the defence as worries about Kurt Zouma’s form and fitness mount.

Lewis Dobbin and Arnaut Danjuma are out for Everton, and Idrissa Gueye and Amadou Onana are questionable due to injuries sustained last week.

The game today starts at 3 p.m.; it won’t be on television, but you may tune in live to BBC Radio London.
