Ahead of the meeting, one of West Ham’s players is quite confident.
Michail Antonio promises West Ham three points at Everton
Talking on BBC’s The Players channel podcast, Michail Antonio cannot see anything apart than three points for the away side.
“Every time we have played them it’s always been a difficult game. Under Sean Dyche, he is very rigorous and barely concedes any goals,” he said.
The 33-year-old feels the return of Lucas Paqueta will have a huge impact on David Moyes’ team.
“I feel confident that the gaffer has his main team back, and when Lucas [Paqueta] has been in the team, we have won the majority of our games,” he continued.
“Off that, I can’t see nothing but three points.”
Everton have eased away from the bottom three, but a win is necessary to calm the increasing strain at Goodison Park.
“He’s (Gueye) still settling down,” Dyche told the media on Thursday. “Amadou’s got a groin thing similar to Gana, which is just settling down, so we’ll make more of a decision on them tomorrow.”
Having Onana back playing frequently will be huge. The Belgian’s ability to give strength at both ends of the pitch should assist Everton’s goalscoring issues.
The dearth of cutting-edge is proving bothersome for the Goodison Park fans. The likes of Beto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin need to step up. Both players look incapable of being a consistent source of goals for Dyche’s team.
