WATCH: Milwaukee Bucks’ Patrick Beverley Ruthlessly Taunts 76ers’ Kyle Lowry Amid Brewing Rivalry.
Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley is a man of his word. Just last week, the feisty veteran had a few things to say about Kyle Lowry and how the Philadelphia 76ers purportedly somewhat replaced him with the 37-year-old guard after Beverley was traded to the Bucks.
Beverley promised that he was going to be on Lowry’s a** when Milwaukee takes on Philadelphia, which incidentally, went down on Sunday night. Pat Bev delivered on his word.
Milwaukee Bucks Vet Patrick Beverley Locks Down Kyle Lowry
Similar to Beverley’s role with the Bucks, Lowry is now also part of Philly’s second unit. The pair spent about the same amount of time on the floor on Sunday, and for his part, Pat Bev made sure to make his influence felt the moment his opportunity came:
At one point in the game, Beverley was able to force a turnover on Lowry, which provoked some customary brutality from the Milwaukee veteran:
Beverley gave an even better angle of the action on Twitter via the Pat Bev Pod:
Beverley may be getting up there in the years, but he definitely hasn’t lost one ounce of his ferociousness on and off the court.
For further background, here are Beverley’s entire comments on Lowry’s arrival in Philly and how he meant to pounce on the one-time NBA champion guard when Pat Bev faced him on the court.
For his part, though, Lowry isn’t shying away from what now appears to be a budding rivalry. The Sixers vet was asked to react on Beverley’s statement ahead of Sunday’s contest, which sparked an honest response from the six-time All-Star:
For what it’s worth, Lowry concluded Sunday’s game with three points, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals in 21 minutes of action. Beverley, on the other hand, logged three points, two dimes, and a steal.
The Bucks prevailed, 119-98.
