TARKOWSKI JOINS JUNIOR EDSA MEMBERS FOR VIRTUAL Q&A
James Tarkowski, the defense player, is used to speaking with the media, but during his most recent interview, young supporters of the Everton Disabled Supporters’ Association put him on the spot.
Tarkowski participated in a video teleconference with the youth to answer questions about everything from what Jordan Pickford yells at him during games to what he would like to be if he wasn’t a football player and his favorite tackle, in honor of Everton’s support of the Level Playing Field ‘Unite For Access’ initiative.
The defender also talked about how much he looks up to Club captain Seamus Coleman and what it means to him to wear the captain’s armband for Everton this season.
The player Q&A with junior EDSA members has become an annual event as part of Everton’s backing of ‘Unite for Access’, with Tarkowski following in the footsteps of Amadou Onana, Andros Townsend and Tom Davies in taking time out to meet with the youngsters, answer their questions and learn more about EDSA’s aims.
The ‘Unite for Access’ campaign, which this year is running from Saturday 24 February to Sunday 10 March, raises awareness and drives for a more inclusive matchday experience for disabled sports fans everywhere.
As part of its commitment to continuous fan engagement, Everton works with EDSA throughout each season to provide experiences but also to improve the facilities for disabled supporters and ensure a positive matchday experience through regular dialogue and the giving of feedback.
