Rangers are presently the favourites to win the SPFL title, according to Sir Kenny Dalglish, despite recent dismal Celtic performance.
The Liverpool legend was questioned about how the Hoops have fared this season in light of their recent troubles, which have allowed Rangers to take the lead in the standings, on the No Tippy Tappy podcast on February 29.
He also acknowledged that Rangers are currently the favourites, despite the fact that he said Celtic cannot be written off and that Philippe Clement has completely changed the dynamic in the title fight.
He declared, “Celtic have got it all going on.” “They lost a league match against Kilmarnock and were eliminated from the League Cup. They also suffered a home defeat to Hearts, who Rangers easily defeated 5-0. They truly must adjust to themselves.
Celtic is someone you can never write off. But since taking over, Philippe Clement has done an outstanding job at Rangers, making a few quality additions, and the team is still in the European round of 16. The only match they have lost under Clement is against Celtic, but even that match was close.
“Rangers are the favourites right now, but there are still two Old Firm games left, which could be very important for either team—it’s a big matchup already! In Scotland, the teams who have always been successful are Celtic or Rangers.
Celtics are in peril as Rangers return.
Many have been praising Celtic over the past few years, while deliberately forgetting the fact that Rangers have been going through a transitional time.
After Michael Beale, Steve Gerrard, and Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Philippe Clement is the Rangers’ fourth manager in as many years, and it seems like the board barely got the appointment right.
Conversely, Celtic had a manager in control who was doing a good job of setting up the team to suit his demands, which allowed them to really get going and be unrelenting in their pursuit of titles.
However, the Ibrox team is currently in that situation, with Brendan Rodgers having trouble at Parkhead while Clement’s Rangers are becoming more and more successful both on and off the pitch.
The team is the favourite since they’re at last getting things together and playing like everyone knew they could. The Bears now hold the title, and it is up to them to win it.
