Celtic is to pay £3m for a Norwich City “Star player” talks already Initiated…

Norwich City’s firm Adam Idah stance to Celtic is correct amid £3m talk: View

If Norwich City wishes to make Adam Idah’s transfer permanent, they have every right to seek a hefty sum from Celtic.

There are many reasons to be optimistic about Norwich City at the moment, as David Wagner’s team is aiming for a play-off spot and has gone five games without a loss.

The choice to move Adam Idah on loan to Celtic, with Sydney van Hooijdonk arriving to Carrow Road as his replacement, is one that isn’t working out at the moment.

Since the latter has only played for the Canaries for just more than 30 minutes of football, it is far too soon to assess his influence while he gains strength and camaraderie with his new colleagues.

However, Idah is thriving in the Celtic region north of the border.

Adam Idah has a great debut for Celtic

It’s safe to assume that when Idah was added during the winter window, supporters of the Glasgow giants weren’t exactly thrilled, and you could understand their skepticism.

Idah had a dismal goal record at Norwich, and the Hoops were looking for a reliable, efficient scorer who could lead them to victory once more.

It remains to be seen if Idah succeeds in doing so, but if Celtic fails, it won’t be because of the striker.

In the week’s 7-1 thumping of Dundee, the Ireland international scored five goals in five league games for his new club. Brendan Rodgers gave Idah a start, vaulting him above Kyogo Furuhashi in the rankings.

Adam Idah’s Celtic Record So Far (as of 1st March)
Competition Opposition Minutes Played Goals Assists
Scottish Premiership Aberdeen 32 1
Scottish Premiership Hibernian 90 2
Scottish Cup St. Mirren 61
Scottish Premiership Kilmarnock 66
Scottish Premiership Motherwell 45 2
Scottish Premiership Dundee 59 1

Norwich stand to benefit from Adam Idah’s form

This is precisely how Norwich would have intended Idah’s loan with Celtic to proceed.

Given his Irish heritage, it seems sense that the player has made no secret of his affection for the Scottish champions, therefore it will be difficult to stop him if they decide to make the move permanent in the summer.

Consequently, the goal would be to secure the best deal for the Norfolk outfit, and Idah is raising the price by the game.

Although Celtic was unable to secure a buyout clause in the January agreement, the striker was rumored to cost approximately £3 million.

It was encouraging to hear that Norwich will not back down as they pursue the greatest possible amount, as that would just not be nearly enough for Idah if he keeps performing at this level.

Idah is only 23, so he still has a lot of opportunity for growth even if it seems like he has been around for a while.

Furthermore, the athlete in question have all the necessary skills to develop into a very good player.

Since he pulls others into play, Idah’s ability to play with his back to goal is essential to what Rodgers wants from his number nine. In addition, he moves well and has a work ethic that his teammates will appreciate as he pursues unfinished business and puts in the grunt work.

The question about Idah has always been if he could score the kind of goals you would expect from a striker.

Granted, the amount of time he has spent with Celtic is too little to provide an accurate assessment, but he seems to be flourishing in the intense strain of playing in Glasgow.

Idah scored two penalties for Rodgers’ team during their victory over Hibs, including one in the final seconds. Then, last week, he scored the vital second goal when Celtic defeated Motherwell in injury time.

He has already made significant contributions, and it is not hyperbole to suggest that Rangers could win the championship with just his help.

Idah faces a struggle in maintaining that form over the coming months, but the initial indications are encouraging.

Since Idah is under contract through 2028, Norwich will be hoping for more of the same as well, as they will be in a strong position come summer transfer window time.

Idah appears to be moving permanently to Celtic, and if his stellar start is any indication, Norwich will be in for a large payout.
