Rangers: Borna Barisic trashed live on BBC Scotland following Kilmarnock clash.
Lee McCulloch has taken aim at Rangers defender Borna Barisic in the Scottish Premiership fixture against Kilmarnock on Wednesday 28 February.
The Croatian international had the chance to whip the ball into a dangerous area in the opening five minutes, instead overhitting it to nobody.
McCulloch was not happy, with the home side going on to open the scoring from the penalty spot only minutes later before the Bears went on to win 2-1.
Speaking live on BBC Radio Scotland on 28 February, McCulloch could not believe what he saw in the early stages at Rugby Park.
“Going back to that free-kick, that was a really poor delivery,” he added [19:49].
“I actually think it was Barisic who put it in, that was a terrible delivery.”
It was a startling start to the game for Barisic, who was also partly to blame for the penalty being given away by John Lundstram.
After mucking around in possession, the defender sought to gain a foul but instead gave one away which subsequently led to a swift attack on the Rangers goal.
Philippe Clement has shifted his team around repeatedly since arriving, and it has worked, but Barisic is one of those who will be watching over his shoulder.
Ridvan Yilmaz is another option who has not put a single foot wrong compared since the Belgian came in and it would be no surprise to see him seal his spot following this fiasco.
With his contract coming to an end soon at Glasgow, it would be intriguing to watch whether there is a passing of guard in that left-back area, with Clement not afraid to make big calls.
That will be one to watch.
In other Rangers news, Sky Sports experts have argued live on air over the Light Blues signing a very intellectual sensation.
