“I must say a big congratulations to the supporters,” Brendan Rodgers

Brendan Rodgers was interviewed for the Celtic View post-match interview yesterday night at Celtic Park, following his team’s seven goals against Dundee. The Celtics manager began the talk by complimenting young Daniel Kelly and his team’s overall play, which he called “outstanding.”

Brendan was also full of admiration for the Celtic supporters, who gave their own assessment following the blow of the half whistle and gave a particularly heartfelt standing ovation to the team that had smashed Dundee for six goals in the first half.

Brendan Rodgers: “That was excellent.” There was the right amount of tempo, passing, and inventiveness. It was an amazing evening. We scored some fantastic goals. Daniel Kelly, a young man from our group

achieves his first goal for the team. He has been a Celtics fan since he was eight years old, therefore I can be jealous of him since it shows that all of his hard work has paid off. He had a terrific finish to it. The gamers’ perseverance in working and fighting through the game’s challenges makes me very delighted for them. There were moments when the football was simply superb.

Celtic Television: You mentioned the squad and everyone’s contribution prior to the game. There are seven distinct goal scorers among the seven goals you have scored. Does that make you feel really satisfied?

Brendan Rodgers: “It needs to be that way. Having one man score 35 goals this season is not enough. We require objectives from outside sources. That was very pleasant, then.

Celtic TV: The support you received from the supporters was fantastic. That was the best response I believe I have ever heard when you came off at halftime. Isn’t it true that everyone from the stands to the dugout to the field and wherever else puts in a true team effort? Tonight, everything came together, didn’t it?

“I must say a big congratulations to the supporters because we need their support and encouragement because we are here to entertain them,” said Brendan Rodgers. We were quite proud of the reception we received at halftime. It’s wonderful to have a packed house on a Wednesday night.

Celtic TV: Every game is a cup final, and this weekend there will be another one held in Edinburgh. Will you be searching for comparable application levels once more?

That’s all, says Brendan Rodgers. Every game requires us to be prepared. You cannot grow timid and pliable. You have to exert constant pressure. Dundee has a difficult one since, in my opinion, they played with all of their might and worked really hard.
