Everton now eyeing move for hugely in-demand versatile wing-back

Everton has apparently shifted its focus to summer targets in an attempt to support Sean Dyche, following the announcement that their points deduction has been lowered from ten to six.

News about Everton transfers

“Everton can confirm an Appeal Board has concluded that the points deduction imposed by an independent Premier League Commission in November be reduced from ten points to six points, with immediate effect,” the team said in an official statement following the successful resolution of their appeal. The Club is pleased that their appeal has led to a decrease in the points penalty, even though we are currently processing the Appeal Board’s ruling.

“We understand the Appeal Board considered the 10-point deduction originally imposed to be inappropriate when assessed against the available benchmarks of which the Club made the Commission aware, including the position under the relevant EFL regulations, and the 9-point deduction that is imposed under the Premier League’s own rules in the event of insolvency.”

The Toffees are currently five points clear of the Premier League relegation zone and, for the time being, can consider summer recruits while they wait for the result of their second Financial Fair Play charge.

Having said that, Festy Ebosele, who can play anywhere up the right wing, is reportedly being targeted by a number of teams, including Everton, according to Udinese Blog. The Udinese wide player is apparently highly regarded by Goodison Park’s club executives, who are in competition with Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds United, Watford, and West Ham United for his signature.

Although the exact amount Udinese will demand for Ebosele this summer is unknown, they are undoubtedly in a good position given the number of clubs that are interested. Everton, who may have just survived in the Premier League, will be hoping to be the next team to benefit from the 21-year-old’s skill.

“Strong” Ebosele might bring England back.

Ebosele, who left Derby this summer to sign a free agent contract with Udinese in the summer of 2022, may make a comeback to English football in just two years. The Irishman has been quite impressive in Serie A with Udinese, as evidenced by his ability to jump from Championship play at Pride Park all the way to the Premier League in the span of just two years.

Craig Forsyth, a former teammate of Ebosele’s, was also aware of his abilities from the beginning and praised him on the official Derby YouTube channel:”The thing is that he has been improving steadily. It’s encouraging to see him get better with that last ball.

“There was a lot of opportunity tonight; he can still improve. He’s dangerous and a terrible opponent to play against. He can move quickly and both ways, and he is very strong. For a defender, he is a nightmare.”

At just 21 years old, Ebosele has lots of time to develop further. Whether he plays for Everton, Spurs, or another team this summer, he could have an immediate effect in the Premier League. Dyche will be hoping for a number of reinforcements to arrive, including the Udinese starlet, if the Toffees manage to win the league this season.
