Everton move to sign African international, £13m+ deal on cards

According to HITC, Everton has entered the competitive fight to recruit Raphael Onyedika, a midfielder for Club Brugge.

According to the internet source, which was updated on February 28, the Toffees are vying with teams like Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace for the services of the Nigerian international.

The youthful maestro, 22, is thought to be worth up to £13 million after Galatasaray’s January transfer window bid for him was turned down.[Whole Sports]

Will Everton require someone to take Amadou Onana’s place?

At Goodison Park, Onyedika might end up being a key acquisition, while Amadou Onana is anticipated to draw far more attention in the summer transfer window.

Even though there were no approaches made for the current Everton midfield player in January, teams like Barcelona, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester United continued to show interest in Onana.

A less expensive option in the middle of the park would make far more sense to avoid any additional problems, even though the sale of the Belgian superstar would liberate a significant amount of money through his transfer value and pay.

Along with free money to bolster other areas of the field, center-back Jarrad Branthwaite’s summertime departure from Goodison Park has also been linked.

Despite only being 22 years old, Onyedika has a plenty of experience, having joined Club Brugge in August 2022 and making 73 appearances.

Additionally, he has four caps for Nigeria. He travelled to this year’s African Cup of Nations, where his team only played 27 minutes during the group stage before losing 2-1 to Ivory Coast in the championship match.

Despite being in and out of Ronny Deila’s starting lineup, Onyedika appears to be a fairly reliable midfield presence. The Premier League may be interested in signing him, so it might not be too difficult to convince him to take a huge pay cut.
