Amadou Onana issue develops, two players ruled out – Early Everton team news v West Ham United.

Sean Dyche has provided his early Everton selection news for the game against West Ham on Saturday (2 March).

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Thursday (29 February), the Toffees boss said that Amadou Onana has a groin injury that is settling down, while the scenario is similar for Idrissa Gueye, with the midfield duo to be checked ahead of the battle against the Hammers at Goodison Park.

He added that Andre Gomes is back training on the grass, but Arnaut Danjuma and Dele Alli won’t be in contention despite the former performing well in his comeback from an ankle injury.

When asked about Gueye’s situation, Dyche said: “He’s still settling down and Amadou’s got a groin thing, similar to Gueye’s, which is just settling down. We’ll make more of a decision on them tomorrow.

“Arnaut’s doing well with his ankle, but it’s obviously a long-term situation, but he’s doing really well. I just spoke to him really before I came in and he’s in a good spot on that side of things and moving well.

“Andre’s been back on the grass with us, he’s going well and Dele’s focus is just on getting fit, nothing other than that. Obviously, he’s got a period to go yet, but he’s just focusing on that.”
