Oscar Cortes, a winger for Rangers, may have sustained a serious injury during Rugby Park’s 2-1 victory over Kilmarnock, as Four Lads Had A Dream revealed.
Shortly before Scott Wright replaced Cortes in the game, the Rangers podcast revealed via its X account that Cortes had gone down clutching his hamstring.
Prior to being forced off during the 2-1 victory, Cortes was a shining light for the Ibrox club during their loan period, having signed during the January transfer window.
Four Lads wrote on X, “Cortes down holding his hamstring.” It looks awful for him.
Oscar Cortes sustains a hamstring injury during Rangers’ match against Kilmarnock.
Although Cortes has received a great deal of praise during his brief stay at Ibrox, and it appears that his loan will be extended permanently in the summer, a hamstring injury will be yet another setback for the Ibrox team.
The winger put on a strong performance, trying to create opportunities when many of his colleagues found it difficult, as Rangers edged out of Kilmarnock 2-1 in a nerve-wracking encounter.
Although the outcome wasn’t ideal, Rangers won’t care where or how they earn three points as long as they do, since they know that their championship battle with Celtic will probably come down to the final moments of the campaign.
Despite the outcome in Glasgow, where Celtic defeated Dundee 7-1, Philippe Clement’s team still leads their Old Firm opponents by two points at the top of the SPFL standings after securing all three points.
