Everton open to handing 27-year-old a new contract, he could yet play this season
Hope for Dele Alli’s Everton injury
Many believed that Dyche’s prospects of playing this season were poor following his most recent update.
Given that the midfielder’s contract was scheduled to end in the summer of 2024, it wasn’t out of the question to speculate that he had played his final game.
There is, nevertheless, some light at the end of the tunnel.
Alli’s return before the 2023–2024 season ends cannot be totally ruled out, according to The Athletic, even though he needs to be gradually introduced back into the mix.
In addition, it’s said that the midfield player wants to stay in the Premier League and that Everton is willing to offer him a new contract when his current one expires. Everton should be commended.
Alli’s situation has been brilliantly handled by Everton, especially since his return from his turbulent loan spell in Turkey.
It’s possible that the club’s tolerance ran thin, but that couldn’t be further from the reality. There is a sense of solidarity and optimism that Alli will eventually revert to his former self as one of Europe’s top young players.
If he can become even half of the player he once was, he has every opportunity to contribute if given new terms on Merseyside’s blue side.
