Christian Norgaard, a midfielder for Brentford, is upset about what transpired at Everton.
Following Brentford’s 4-2 defeat at West Ham United on Monday evening, Bees captain Christian Norgaard issued a pretty strong response to Everton’s ongoing points case.
Throughout the season, Everton’s 10-point deduction has been a topic of discussion, with many believing it was unduly punitive.
Although the Merseyside club acknowledged breaking Premier League rules, Sean Dyche’s team was put in danger since the punishment appeared to be significantly harsher than the offense.
By appealing the decision, the Toffees were awarded four points back on Monday, moving them up from 17th to 15th place. However, they can still lose extra points as a result of an accusation from the previous season.
Norgaard has rendered his opinion on the matter.
Christian Norgaard hits out at Premier League
Following Brentford’s bruising defeat to The Hammers earlier this week, Norgaard expressed his frustration at Everton’s case.
“It’s hard for me to comment on these deductions,” The Bees midfielder told Sky Sports. “Somewhere, someone is sitting with a calculator and putting in points, taking away points. I don’t know. It’s people’s jobs, people’s lives they’re messing with.
In all honesty, I have no idea what’s going on. We must prioritize ourselves over Everton. When all is said and done, I’m sure we’ll get better and find ourselves safely in the Premier League, but there are some areas we need to address and work on.
It is obvious that if a Brentford player is thinking about it, Dyche and his team must find it particularly irritating. As a result, they have a lot to gain going into the last stretch of the season.
