Alan Myers issues Laurence Rabinowitz prediction for new Everton fight

Alan Myers believes Everton are likely to still have Laurence Rabinowitz in their corner for the upcoming second independent commission hearing.

In response to a query on Twitter (February 27) on their club’s representation, the Sky Sports writer said the super silk will most likely be making their case once more.

After successfully influencing the appeals board to lower the initial 10-point deduction to six, Rabinowitz went on to call being a member of the Toffees’ “proper club” a “honour” and a “privilege.”

When asked if the sixty-three-year-old would play for Everton once more, Myers said, “I would have thought so.”

There may be another point deduction in the works, but the club has a decent chance of having any additional sanctions greatly reduced.

Although reducing the points deduction by four may not have been a huge victory, it does stand out as a noteworthy accomplishment in the midst of frequent setbacks from all directions.

Hence, if Rabinowitz is competing for the team once more, Evertonians will likely feel more confident, especially because he has demonstrated a connection to the Toffees.

Sean Dyche’s team has moved back up to 15th place in the standings with some breathing room between them and the bottom three thanks to the reduced sanction that followed his contribution.

If a second punishment is really imminent, then that may turn out to be just another false impression. However, since it now appears that no more than six players can be taken and the team was expecting anything to be cut by two thirds, this could have prevented a major blow in a possible relegation battle.

While there are still many extremely critical issues to be resolved, including the continuous takeover delay and the resurgence of the danger of compensation claims, Rabinowitz has at least secured one victory for the team and is likely to pursue more.
