According to Eddie Gray, Leeds United has three players who can absolutely destroy Chelsea tonight.

Eddie Gray has been speaking in advance of this evening’s FA Cup match between Chelsea and Leeds United.

For the first time since their relegation in May of last year, the Whites go to Stamford Bridge to play Premier League opponents. This time, they field a considerably different squad than the one that finished the previous campaign.

There is a very different vibe at Elland Road than there was this time last year, even if it obviously has to do with the outcomes on the field.Leeds has won 11 of its 12 games since the start of the year going into this one.

Due to the large departure that occurred during the summer, just a small number of players from the squad from the previous season remain at Leeds; these players include Georgia Rutter, Crysencio Summerville, and Willy Gnonto.

The Whites great Gray asserted on talkSPORT that those three players are capable of destroying any defense, including Chelsea’s this evening.

Gray exalts Summerville, Rutter, and Gnonto

“I’m excited to play against a top-tier team again and see how our players have developed. We have some young players, like Rutter, Summerville, and Gnonto,” he remarked. They have the power to destroy anyone on their day. They are talented individuals. That is the current situation with the team.

Sadly for Leeds, given the importance of the league and their upcoming busy schedule, this match comes at a very unfavorable time of year.

In light of this, Summerville and Rutter are both questionable for Leeds’ match tonight, and it doesn’t seem probable that they will be risked since Huddersfield Town is away on Saturday lunchtime.

Gnonto might still be engaged, but after their respective seasons, it would have been fantastic to see Summerville and Rutter put themselves to the test against elite competition.

With any luck, Leeds will be promoted this season, making these kinds of matches more frequent and allowing Summerville and Rutter to demonstrate their progress every week.
