Rangers: Blaine McClure can follow Ross McCausland to Ibrox greatness after B Team growth.

Rangers undoubtedly have plenty of young talent in the first squad, with Philippe Clement proving he is more than prepared to rely on youth.

One such player is Ross McCausland, with the Northern Ireland international featuring regularly under the Belgian this season.

The Ibrox club now have McCausland 2.0 to progress into the first team, with his fellow Northern Irishman Blaine McClure making his Rangers B debut on Monday (26 February).

The 17-year-old emerged as a second-half substitute as the Ibrox club thrashed Dundee 5-3, having been a regular for the Under-18s this season [official Rangers website, 26 February].

The publication alluded to the fact that McClure is already following McCausland’s trajectory extremely closely, having also joined the Glasgow giants from Irish Premiership team Linfield.

And now McClure himself has voiced his appreciation for his compatriot, telling the official Rangers website (26 February): “Ross McCausland is a big inspiration to me. He was really good to me when I first came over; welcoming me to the club as a new boy although he had been here for a few years. He has taken me under his wing and guided me the correct way.”
