Rangers: ‘Absolutely ridiculous’ Michael Beale development on cards.
In the midst of “absolutely ridiculous” happenings, Derek Ferguson has wondered if posts extolling Michael Beale’s virtues at Rangers in the past may have originated from the source.
Beale was fired as Rangers manager in September, then on February 19, he was let go by Sunderland following just 12 games in command at the Stadium of Light.
A day later, it was revealed that Beale had been endorsing positive messages about himself on Twitter and justifying what seemed to be an unwillingness to shake Trai Hume’s hand when he replaced him. All of this had happened through a burner account.
On February 20, the Second Tier podcast revealed Beale’s connections to Player ID, whose since-deleted account appeared to be the one endorsing pro-Beale positions, citing proof from the What The Falk Podcast.
Ferguson is now questioning whether Beale’s online support during his time as Steven Gerrard’s assistant, prior to his eventual assumption of the full post, came from the man himself.
In an exclusive interview with Ibrox News, he stated: “This Twitter account has leaked certain information.”
“As soon as I heard that, the first thought that entered my head was that, going back a few years to the Steven Gerrard era, Michael Beale was the mastermind behind that, the strategist; it was all up to him.”
And that makes you wonder whether someone is posting anything on these Twitter accounts. Suddenly, we’re hearing that he’s an excellent coach, that he’s this and that, and that he’s the genius behind Steven Gerrard. Was he publishing anything at the time? I’m not sure. However, that is utterly absurd if it turns out to be true.
“Steven Gerrard was a seasoned player under an inexperienced manager, but he was respected nonetheless. Additionally, I believe that every time you hear Steven Gerrard talk, it is courteous and precise—not like when you hear Michael Beale.”
When he was at Sunderland, did former Rangers manager Michael Beale utilize a burner Twitter account?
We must emphasize quickly that there is no evidence that Beckle used a burner account on Twitter or that he had access to the account in question.
But the entire situation is quite dubious, particularly considering that Beale has recently faced harsh criticism from the Rangers and Sunderland fan communities.
Though it’s always wonderful to look back, the fact remains that Beale was not the ideal man to be number one at Ibrox, regardless of his accomplishments as an assistant to Gerrard.
Fortunately for Rangers supporters, Philippe Clement has done an incredibly fantastic job since taking over for Beale, so things have worked out very well.
