Tony Cottee vents about Everton and the Premier League in a “Absolutely ridiculous” tirade.

Everton’s penalty by the Premier League has angered Tony Cottee, even though the team has not yet received the outcome of their appeal against the 10-point deduction.

Everton was given a 10-point deduction earlier in the season for a Profit and Sustainability violation at Goodison Park, but the team quickly filed an appeal.

The outcome of the club’s appeal from an impartial tribunal has been eagerly anticipated by supporters, but many are growing impatient after multiple deadlines were allegedly missed.

Monday, February 26, at 9:45 a.m., Cottee made a live statement on talkSPORT, asking, “Everton? Who knows? I don’t understand; just decide on the points [deduction].

Not only does it impact Everton, but also Nottingham Forest and all of the Premier League’s bottom teams. Then they say, “Oh, and we’ll make the results public after the season is over if there is an appeal.”

It’s completely absurd. It is unfair to each of those teams and, more significantly, to their supporters.

Everton is in doubt due to Premier League sanctions.

With so many deadlines coming and going, it seems like Toffees supporters have been waiting weeks to find out the outcome of their team’s appeal against the 10-point deduction.

Everton is currently one point above the relegation zone, but Luton Town still has a game to play after the Toffees were only able to draw 1-1 with 10-man Brighton.

Sean Dyche’s team would be floating in the middle of the Premier League standings, five points out of the top half, if not for the deduction.

Even though Dyche has previously assisted the team in avoiding relegation once while in office, the lack of success may be somewhat attributed to the lengthy wait for the appeals court ruling, which has been a cloud over Goodison Park.

After this matter is resolved and a decision is made, Everton will be able to move on from it all and concentrate on avoiding relegation, which at this point appears to be a very serious possibility.
