Rangers: A “huge money” Premier League transfer for Todd Cantwell could see him leave Ibrox

According to Dean Jones, there will be “big fears” at Rangers that Todd Cantwell will be pursued by Premier League teams during the summer transfer window.

The former Eurosport reporter stated in an interview with GiveMeSport on Sunday, February 25, that he would be “surprised” if the 25-year-old left the Gers at the conclusion of the season because it appears like he is “loving life” at Ibrox.

However, given how well the English attacking midfielder has been playing, he continued, it’s “not out of the question” that Premier League teams would opt to put some “big money” on the table in order to recruit him.

Jones remarked, “I think Cantwell seems to be enjoying life at Rangers anyhow.” Should he depart from the club in the summer, I would be shocked.

Naturally, though, one of Rangers’ biggest worries will be that Premier League teams will consider his circumstances and choose to make a significant financial offer. Considering how good he has occasionally played, it’s most definitely not out of the question.

strange Cantwell is not likely to quit Rangers

Given that Cantwell is playing regularly and appears to be enjoying his time at Rangers, it seems improbable that he will desire to quit the team.

Even while he could eventually want to return to England, he probably wouldn’t be able to sign with a team as big as the Gers right now.

He would be better off continuing to perform well under Philippe Clement’s direction and letting things work out in the long run.

The offensive midfielder, who had a patchy first half of the season, has recently found his form before suffering an injury.

The supporters of the Light Blues will be hoping that he stays at Ibrox for a while longer and gets back into the starting lineup as soon as possible to aid them in their pursuit of the SPL championship.
