Jack Butland breaks the transfer taboo at Rangers, revealing agency discussions on Nottingham Forest interest.

Speaking up, Jack Butland stated that he was told “straight no” after a transfer expressed interest in his services in January.

After joining the team on a free transfer from former manager Michael Beale, the 30-year-old Rangers goalkeeper has been spectacular this season. During the winter transfer season, Nottingham Forest, a Premier League team looking to add a new goaltender for manager Nuno Espirito Santo, made an inquiry to the Ibrox club about the former Stoke and Manchester United stopper Butland.

Although Gers declined the offer themselves, Butland could only react in one way after learning about it from his representative.

He said, “I agree,” when I stated, “No.” As the club had already declined, it was immediately a no-no on all counts, and that was all. It was literally the day of the deadline, and we were with the team. All of us attended a team event together, and that was that. There was not even a possibility.

It’s fun for me. Too much needs to be accomplished, and too much remains to be done.
