Jack Butland breaks Rangers transfer silence and discloses agency negotiations about Nottingham Forest interest.

Jack Butland has broken his silence on January transfer interest in his services – saying it was a “straight no”.

The Rangers goalkeeper, 30, has been exceptional this season so far having been brought to the club by former boss Michael Beale on a free transfer. Ex-Stoke and Manchester United stopper Butland was wanted in the winter season by Nottingham Forest in the Premier League who were hunting a new goaltender for boss Nuno Espirito Santo and they swooped for Butland with an enquiry to the Ibrox club.

Gers said no themselves but when Butland was made aware of the offer by his agent, there was only ever going to be one response.
