Solhekol would claim, after revealing why worry should persist for the Toffees: ‘There are plenty of clubs who will be satisfied with what is occurring because a lot of clubs would be stating that we stuck by the regulations. Everton understood what the regulations were. Nottingham Forest knew what the rules were and for whatever reason they have broken the rules.
‘It has to be a level playing field for everybody. But I think that a lot of people in football would have a lot of compassion for Everton supporters and the situation that they are in.’
