‘So much easier’ – Pundit shares Rangers and Celtic title verdict live on Sky Sports Ibrox

Charlie Mulgrew of Rangers said that their 5-0 victory over Hearts has put pressure on Celtic, their bitter rivals. The Gers crushed the Edinburgh team 5-0 at Ibrox on Saturday, February 24, to increase their lead at the top of the table. Cyriel Dessers scored twice in the win, while Mohamed Diomande, Oscar Cortes, and Fabio Silva also found the net. Mulgrew told Sky Sports Scotland that the players are under a lot of pressure because winning 5-0 puts them at the top of the league and when you go on to extend your lead at the top, it’s much easier.

Can Rangers continue to lead Celtic?
Rangers have finally surpassed Glasgow rivals Celtic at the top of the standings, a move that has taken a while.

Early in the season, with the Bhoys winning under Brendan Rodgers and the Gers losing under Michael Beale, the incredible reversal seemed improbable.
However, the latter was replaced by Philippe Clement at Ibrox, which altered the momentum and left Celtic feeling less confident.

The Gers have been in incredible form, as evidenced by their thumping of the team ranked third in the Scottish Premiership league, despite their underwhelming performance.
While Steven Naismith’s Jambos will be unhappy with their performance in Glasgow, their opponents were occasionally unplayable.

Now that Scottish Cup and Europa League competition has resumed, Clement and his team’s challenge will be to maintain their lead over the Bhoys at the top of the standings, which will be difficult.
