Rangers star John Lundstram mocks Ibrox teammate Ridvan Yilmaz following what transpired v Hearts.
Rangers player John Lundstram has insulted his Ibrox teammate Ridvan Yilmaz after their win vs Hearts.
The duo played the complete 90 minutes as Philippe Clement’s side won 5-0 against Steven Naismith’s men on Saturday (24 February).
Mohamed Diomande, Oscar Cortes and Cyriel Dessers netted first half goals at Ibrox, with Dessers and Silva netting in the second half.
Taking to social media to celebrate the triumph, Yilmaz tweeted on Instagram: “Well played in lbrox, great result and good performance with my teammates. Thanks for support.”
Among those replying was Ibrox ace Lundstram, who joked with the Ibrox defender: “Great English bro.”
Rangers have been flying under Clement, but Hearts have also been going pretty strong of late under Naismith, who would have been anxious to return to Ibrox and put up a fight against his former side.
But it was impossible from the very first whistle, with the hosts racing into a 1-0 lead after just two minutes through Diomande.
His fellow January signing Cortes increased the lead in the 37th minute, with Dessers putting the game to bed just before half-time.
The summer acquisition added his second of the match soon upon the resumption, with another January recruit in Silva completing the 5-0 onslaught just after the hour mark.
The home side will be absolutely happy with their display, with the visitors certain to be quite disappointed at having given in so easy on so many occasions.
Lundstram and Yilmaz may not have gotten in on the act, but the pair were vital in the unexpected win.
In other Rangers news, one Gers sensation is likely to force Clement’s hand after a behind-the-scenes Ibrox development.
