Ohio State called ‘offseason champs’ again, huge wins for hockey

Michigan Wolverines news: Ohio State called ‘offseason champs’ again, huge wins for hockey.

Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore dropped the puck at the Michigan hockey game last night, and more in our Michigan Wolverines news roundup.

The Michigan hockey team had a successful weekend, as they swept the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, earning home ice in the Big Ten tournament.

Michigan hockey defeated the Irish 4-0 on Friday night and then won 2-1 on Saturday, improving their overall record to 17-12-3 and 10-10-2 in Big Ten play.

Sherrone Moore, the head coach of Michigan football, was also present to drop the puck, making the occasion even more memorable. Moore’s success has followed him wherever he goes. Most recently, Michigan football lost only one two-deep contributor to the transfer portal after Jim Harbaugh left. That’s all sherrone.

Michigan will travel to Minnesota, the Big Ten’s third-place team, next weekend, and the Wolverines could earn the No. 3 seed in the Big Ten tournament, but at worst, they will be No. 4 and will host Notre Dame.

PFF writer claims. Ohio State are ‘offseason champs’.

Ohio State supporters are enjoying the offseason, and who can blame them? Michigan football has wrecked their last three seasons, so why not commemorate something as legendary as an offseason championship?

The Buckeyes were nicknamed the “offseason champs” by one PFF writer for their moves, including the additions of Caleb Downs, Quinshon Judkins, and Julian Sayin, as well as the return of several key veterans (except Marvin Harrison Jr).

Ohio State has an abundance of talent. The problem is that, according to recruiting rankings, Ohio State had far more talent than the Michigan Wolverines the previous three seasons and still lost to Michigan by an average of roughly 14 points.

Buckeye fans are counting on the Michigan Wolverines to take a significant step back under Moore, as well as the NCAA sanctions that Ohio State fans believe will follow.

But none of this is happening. Michigan football isn’t going anywhere under Sherrone Moore, the NCAA isn’t dropping the hammer, and being the offseason champion means nothing unless Ohio State defeats Michigan in Columbus in November.

And while Buckeye fans can rejoice, as Moore stated, “we’ll settle that in November.”
