Whom Rangers might face in the Champions League as initial predictions indicate that Real Madrid and Liverpool are the front-runners

Rangers benefit greatly from the Champions League’s European prominence as they focus on winning the championship.

This season, they are concentrating on the Europa League, but Rangers are aware that the true promised land is a level higher.

Returning to the Champions League group stages came after a 2022 run to the Europa League final. After six disappointing losses, they faced Ajax, Liverpool, and Napoli. Philippe Clement is hoping to be the one to help them move past that suffering.

UEFA states: “Four additional teams will get the chance to fight against the top clubs in Europe as 36 clubs will take part in the Champions League league phase (formerly known as the group stage). All 36 of the competing clubs will be ranked together and take part in a single league competition.

Teams will play eight games in the new league phase (previous group stage) under the revised format. They will now play matches against eight different teams, half of which they will play at home and the other half away, as opposed to their previous schedule of three opponents twice, home and away.

“The teams will be seeded in four pots at first in order to choose the eight opponents. After that, a team will be picked to play two opponents from each of these pots, once at home and once away from their opponents.”

Rangers might sign a ton of big stars because pots are no longer a factor in terms of competitive advantage, albeit a lot can change between now and May. These are the kinds of hurdles that Rangers could face if they win the title and reserve their spot as of right now.
