Borna Barisic and Scott Wright axed – Predicted Rangers XI v Hearts.

Philippe Clement may make multiple changes to his Rangers’ starting lineup for the important SPFL encounter against Hearts on Saturday afternoon.

The Gers went to the top of the table with a 3-0 victory over St Johnstone last time out, and a win at Ibrox will give them the opportunity to go five points clear, with Celtic not playing until Sunday.

However, the manager must make some judgments about his starting lineup, as injuries and a hectic schedule are likely to bring in new players.

Rangers’ success is predicated on defence.

In goal, Jack Butland has been nothing short of amazing for the team since joining on a free transfer in the summer, establishing himself as the greatest goalkeeper in the country.

Ahead of him. Clement has ensured the defence’s consistency, which is likely to continue. Last time out, James Tavernier scored twice more from the penalty spot, and Connor Goldson and John Souttar maintained their great relationship.

Ridvan Yilmaz and Borna Barisic’s futures at left-back have been a topic of speculation. However, the Turkish defender has recently been more impressive and should be given the nod for this challenging encounter.

Rangers expected to make midfield changes

Clement has struggled in midfield since joining the club, and that trend appears to be continuing.

Todd Cantwell has joined Kieran Dowell on the sidelines due to injury, while Tom Lawrence and Ryan Jack continue to manage their minutes following extended absences. This allows Dujon Sterling to start alongside John Lundstram, while January signing Mo Diomande moves forward.

Oscar Cortes has been extremely impressive on the left wing since his arrival and should keep his spot, while youngster Ross McCausland is expected to return to the right wing ahead of the struggling Scott Wright.

Cyriel Dessers has been in terrific goal-scoring form and is set to start ahead of Fabio Silva.
