Is Marvin Harrison Jr. a potential 2024 draft choice for the Las Vegas Raiders to replace Davante Adams? A bold action is advocated by an NFL insider.

According to a well-known insider, the Las Vegas Raiders could accomplish two goals at once if they trade Davante Adams’ enormous contract and select his replacement in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Raiders’ offseason could be highly interesting since there is newfound optimism about the team’s future. After leading them to a 5-4 victory, Antonio Pierce shown that the team was superior to some expectations, and the corporation recognized his achievement by hiring him as a full-time head coach.

If Las Vegas makes the most of the $42 million in cap space they’ll have this summer (via OverTheCap) and selects wisely with the 13th overall pick in April’s draft, they should be able to contend for a postseason position at the very least the following season.

The team has a lot of options this spring, and many believe they should move Davante Adams—who has three years and nearly $76 million remaining on his contract—to give them more freedom. The New York Jets have frequently been mentioned as a possible landing destination. But Aaron Schatz, an NFL insider for ESPN, made a very intriguing draft-related suggestion for the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday.

Given that Adams will turn 32 this year, Schatz said that the Raiders may want to let go of him and his large salary. “How about attempting to replace Adams with [Marvin] Harrison, the highly sought-after wide receiver? The Cardinals may strengthen their receiving group with Adams and improve their league-worst defense in 2023 by making a significant trade up the selection board.

“At a rookie contract salary, the Raiders would get maybe the best receiver prospect in years.”

The concept makes sense. With Kyler Murray already selected, the Cardinals will not select a quarterback with the fourth overall pick since they have the financial means to assume Adams’ contract. If Arizona is as high on the Ohio State star is the key question. Alternatively, they could just take him and hope he becomes the next Davante Adams.
