Everton transfer news as ‘Extraordinary’ Mile Svilar update emerges

Everton transfer news as ‘Extraordinary’ Mile Svilar update emerges.

Everton are exploring a potential bid to sign Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar in the summer transfer window, according to CalcioMercato.

The Italian news outlet reported on its website on Saturday (24 February) that the Toffees are monitoring the Serbian international, who has had his opportunities limited with the Serie A club.

But it reported the Italian side don’t want to allow the 24-year-old goalie depart until they receive a “extraordinary” offer for his services at the conclusion of the season.

Everton unlikely to spend money much for Mile Svilar

This is a transfer that could be unlikely to happen if Roma are seeking for any interested parties to pay a suitable transfer fee for Svilar.

He would only be coming in as a backup option to first-choice keeper Jordan Pickford unless the England international were to make a surprise escape from Goodison Park.

It’s no secret that the Toffees have been on the lookout for a younger stopper to learn from the 29-year-old who might potentially fill his boots, but the Serb is maybe a bit older than they’d be hoping for.

He has been confined to just 11 games this season, nine of which came in cup competitions, while he’s participated in Serie A on two occasions.

If he were to become available for a reasonable sum, then perhaps the Blues could be enticed into making a bid for him, but it’s unlikely to happen given their poor financial circumstances.

In other Everton news, Jamie Carragher has divulged how many points the Toffees could earn back following their appeal.
