Everton on hunt to recruit Festy Ebosele after ‘superstar’ forecast by ex-Goodison star Wayne Rooney

HITC reports that Verton are interested in signing Udinese star Festy Ebosele during the summer transfer season.

According to the outlet’s website on Friday (23 February), Tottenham, West Ham United, Leeds United, and Southampton are among the English clubs interested in the 21-year-old player.

Ebosle, who predominantly plays as a right-back, has shone in Serie A after initially breaking through at Derby County under former Toffee Wayne Rooney, who was reported by Derbyshire Live (21 March, 2022) saying: “I said a few months ago he can be a superstar, he can be whatever he wants.”

“He really needs to keep his focus, his concentration, and keep learning to develop.”

Can Everton win the transfer race for Festy Ebosele?

There is so much uncertainty around Goodison Park right now that it appears to be impeding the Toffees’ efforts to recruit Ebosele before their English rivals do this summer.

Sean Dyche’s team is now in a relegation battle and may face a second points deduction due to profit and sustainability charges. It is unclear which league they will play in.

Furthermore, the Premier League has yet to accept 777 Partners’ ownership of the club, and Farhad Moshiri is unlikely to invest more money in the club to recruit players like Ebosele.

However, a lot may change before the end of the season, and Everton may be able to complete such an exciting signing. Their team needs one or two more superstars, and Ebosele would be the perfect fit.
