Rangers’ prospective Europa League last 16 opponents are confirmed, as big hitters qualify.

Rangers have identified eight potential opponents for the Europa League last 16 tie.

The Ibrox club eliminated Real Betis from the competition with a late 3-2 victory in Spain on the final day of the group round. Kemar Roofe’s score secured their victory, allowing them to compete for the final under manager Philippe Clement.

Football Scotland mapped out five best and worst case scenarios for their knockout round test. However, after tonight’s ties, some clubs have been eliminated, while others, such as Gers, are still awaiting their fate.

AC Milan and Sporting Lisbon advanced after emphatic first-leg victories, while others defeated their opponents in the second leg despite nerve-racking previous matches.

Gers are seeded and will thus miss out on Liverpool and the high-flying Leverkusen, but some heavyweights remain in contention for the draw tomorrow morning.
