“Could you imagine” Rangers sensation set to force Clement’s hand after behind-the-scenes development

Rangers sensation Zak Lovelace set to force Philippe Clement’s hand after Ibrox development

Rangers have been riding high under Philippe Clement, with the Ibrox club now leading the league for the first time under the Belgian.

The Gers now lead Celtic by two points in the Scottish Premiership after a 3-0 win over St Johnstone on Sunday (18 February).

Clement has been enjoying himself in the Ibrox dugout since taking over from Michael Beale earlier this season, as the club has gone on a winning streak in all competitions.

However, encouraging performances did not prevent the manager from boosting his team at the earliest available chance, with Fabio Silva, Mohamed Diomande, and Oscar Cortes all joining on loan.

Zak Lovelace, a teenager, might be added to the first-team picture.

The 18-year-old has only recently returned to action after suffering a hamstring injury in his senior debut against St Mirren in October.

Steven Davis was in charge temporarily at the time, and his choice to give Lovelace his maiden start did not go well.

Rangers’ star Zak Lovelace returns from injury.

According to the official Rangers website (23 February), the teenage forward has been regularly communicating with assistant

coaches Alex Rae and Brian Gilmour, emphasizing the need of making an impact when training with the first squad.

If a mark is left, the coaches will definitely speak highly of Lovelace to Clement, even if the manager does not perceive his potential.

The teenager has already made four senior appearances, but now that he is back in training after a long layoff, he could soon force Clement’s hand.
