Arsenal is close to signing Rangers star in a six-figure deal at Ibrox.

According to The Sun, Alexander Smith, a Rangers sensation, is set to join Arsenal for a six-figure fee.

According to the news outlet’s website (22 February), the bright youngster has been monitored by the Gunners for some time and they are now ready to formalize their interest.

Director of Football Edu is now ready to begin discussions with the Ibrox club about the 15-year-old, with a six-figure compensation amount expected for the “outstanding talent”.

“Arsenal are closing in on Rangers’ 15-year-old starlet Alexander Smith,” they said in a statement.

“The Gunners plan to pay Rangers a six-figure compensation sum for their excellent potential, having been watching Smith for some time.

“Arsenal are now ready to open talks with Gers about recruiting their international midfield ace.”

Another loss for the Rangers.

Rangers have recently lost several young players, including Rory Wilson to Aston Villa.

The team has successfully promoted young players, including Alex Lowry, Leon King, Adam Devine, and Ross McCausland.

However, exceptional players such as Zak Lovelace, Bailey Rice, and Johnny Yfeko continue to play in young teams, hoping to establish a name for themselves.

Smith has a wonderful reputation in Glasgow and will be a huge blow to the club’s youth, with the expectation that he will make it to the first team.

However, when Arsenal comes calling, young players and Scottish clubs have a difficult time competing. The Bears are powerless in this situation, but maybe the money that comes in will be put to good use.
