OLNEY, Md. — When five-star safety Faheem Delane announced his top five schools on Dec. 15, college football was a different world.

Alabama, LSU, Tennessee and Virginia Tech joined Ohio State in the top five, but in the two months since then, things have altered in a big manner. Nick Saban retired from Alabama. LSU overhauled its entire defensive coaching staff. And a few other programs have joined the mix, all after the exceptionally skilled defender from Our Lady of Good Counsel in Maryland.
