Taiwo Awoniyi’s ‘unbelievable’ attitude to two Forests star return

Taiwo Awoniyi has reacted to a comment from departed Nottingham Forest star Serge Aurier about two AFCON players returning to the club.

The Nigerian striker reacted on Instagram.

So, what has Awoniyi said in response to the comments from departed Forest player Aurier? Let’s take a closer look…

Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi reacts to Serge Aurier comment

It appears that they are having a lighthearted chat, and Awoniyi has responded to Aurier.

This month, the player who joined Galatasaray in January helped the Ivory Coast win the AFCON.

He was included in the team along with Willy Boly and Ibrahim Sangare, who both made their way back to Forest yesterday.

Awoniyi can be seen joking around with the returning Ivorians in the club’s posted video.

He’s attempting to give Boly a backhand, but both players are chuckling and it’s all in good humour.

Aurier posted on Instagram that Awoniyi should: “Celebrate the champions with respect thank you.”

The current Forest player responded by merely saying: “OK boss”, and posting three eye-roll emojis.

Spirits seem high in the Forest camp

Awoniyi was obviously angry as Ivory Coast defeated Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations final.

When Sangare and Boly came back, everything seemed like good fun, despite the fact that Forest star Awoniyi made light of the circumstance.

Although Aurier’s decision to leave Forest in January was regrettable, his contract would have expired in the summer.

Because of this, the Reds’ decision to let him join Galatasaray in exchange for a nominal price seems like sound financial judgement.

We believe that the reason Awoniyi may be so irritated is that he knows that if he had been able to play for Nigeria at the AFCON, things would have turned out differently.

Now, he will have to wait until the next instalment to get revenge on his teammates.
