Rangers’ 15-goal injured star glimpsed in Auchenhowie video; was he wearing boots?

Philippe Clement will not complain about the Rangers’ injury list, which has occasionally reached double digits since he joined the club.

The Gers manager prefers to deal with problems in his team rather than whine or seek sympathy, leaving the Ibrox faithful to speculate on who could or might not be returning.

If Philippe Clement could have one player back in his club, Abdallah Sima would be a fine choice because the Rangers manager wants as many goal scorers as possible in his squad.

Philippe Clement gets a boost when Abdallah Sima returns for Rangers.
With a goal every two games since signing on loan from Brighton, it’s understandable that conversations about a permanent deal have been reported.

At only 22 years old, the Senegal international still has opportunity to grow but already possesses the kind of quality that would warrant a large investment.

Consider his objective return to that of Ryan Kent, for example.

He didn’t even reach double figures while on loan at Liverpool, so we were all delighted when Steven Gerrard secured a deal to bring him back.

Abdallah Sima has 15 goals for Rangers, having played once in 2024 before being injured at the African Cup of Nations.

Getting past the 20-mark was an expected, not a wish.

Oscar Cortes appears to be an excellent addition, however we have lost a significant goal threat in Sima.

A threat that could return soon if images from Rangers social media are what we believe they are.

As part of the charity foundation dream day initiative, Sima is seen in full training gear in and amongst the first-team squad.

As an optimist, this could imply that the surgery on his injured adductor (groin) muscle went well and that his prior conditioning benefited his recuperation.

The more likely explanation is that he has been undergoing rehabilitation, albeit there are also rumors that he was on the grass at the training facility.

The fact that he has returned to games at Ibrox and Auchenhowie is a positive indicator; it also indicates that Brighton is pleased with how things are progressing.

The availability of Sima, Danilo, or Kemar Roofe would make a huge difference, and the timing couldn’t be better.
